Located in a former restaurant nestled on 16th Penn and brought back to life with beautiful Latin American culture, Soluna began as a coffee shop inspired by rich Honduran coffee that hoped to authentically recreate the experience found there. We bridge the gap between Latin America and Pittsburgh, finding the connections between them in this shared lifetime.

The signature Soluna was ok... But I wouldn't order it again for $14.Expected a Panini: truly pressed and grilled perhaps on flatbread or tortilla. This was just your standard turkey sandwich. Bread was unremarkable and barely toasted
Sandwich and a decaf coffee came to $20 including tax 👀
Love this little bit of Latin culture mixed with a coffee shop/cool lunch spot hangout.
More ethnic diversity outside of Eastern European & European historical influences...

start making these for myself at home.

3rd time back in the span of 2 weeks 1/2/23 curious to see what else on the menu might be good.
Got the Baleada without the tortilla* : $10

*It was the universe's reminder that I probably could have had 3 full sized meals if I only I wasn't too lazy that morning to buy the can of beans, case of eggs, and avocado myself. Perhaps the tortillas are home made here justifying the price. It's a shame that they don't support a la carte simple breakfast orders hence the modification of the Baleada you see pictured.
I asked for my cup to be filled a little closer to the brim and was told they could add oat milk. Successfully negotiated extra decaf I was told would cost in the future. See photo.

Ambience still superb. Customer service excellent. Love that there's a great vantage point of the 17th Street Bridge from the back section which offers all the natural light a girl could ask for in a café ☺️

Coffee was great, had a delicious mocha with beautiful pour. Spacious and relaxed, nice table with some sun 😎
